Gerard O’Neill
President/CEO |
Gerard O’Neill is the President and CEO for American Laundry Systems/
E&O Mechanical, Inc. Gerard's experience includes process engineering
for marine and land based industrial platforms. Before coming to this
country, Gerard achieved his Mechanical Engineering degree and held
management positions in the shipyards of Ireland. As founder of American
Laundry Systems, Gerard recognized a need in the Commercial
Laundries in the United States and Canada for a practical and common
sense approach to the short and long term planning and implementation
of design upgrades. This fulfills providing engineering services for independent
owners who normally do not staff engineers and consulting/installation services for
corporations who seek outside assistance on project completion. Gerard has worked in all areas
and facets of the commercial laundry service company he founded. He has worked as an equipment
fitter/installer, Foreman, Project Manager, Project Engineer and now President of his organization.
He has 20+ years of experience in the "Laundry Business". Gerard is an active &
published member of American Laundry News, CSC, TCATA, IAHTM, and TRSA. |

Charles Berge
Vice President of Sales |
Charles
Berge
is the Vice President of Sales for American Laundry
Systems and is responsible for all sales and sales staff in the United
States and Canada. Charles is an industry veteran with over 27 years
experience in the laundry industry. His introduction into the industry
was with Means Services out of Dekalb, IL in 1980. Means Services
was a customer service driven company that experienced exceptional
growth over the years based on a simple philosophy of "Means Means
Service". Charles exemplified that by numerous awards and achievements.
In 1982 Means Services was purchased by ARA Services (Aramark Uniform Services).
Charles spent a total of 16 years with Aramark Uniform Services holding many positions in the
sales and service departments. In 1996 Charles went to work for Brim Laundry Machinery Co.,
Inc. based out of Dallas Texas. His responsibilities included representing Brim Laundry
Machinery equipment and parts services throughout the Midwest. Charles held that position for
a period of 8 years till 2005. During this time he helped numerous customers with the design
and layout of their facilities. analyzing work flow, production standards, and equipment
requirements. His success can be attributed to his ability to understand the customers needs and
to focus on exceeding those expectations. |

Cathy Menzel
Business Manager/Corporate Officer |
Cathy Menzel
has been part of the American Laundry Systems team
since 2003. She is responsible for all business operations and staff at
the corporate offices in Haverhill, MA. Cathy comes to American
Laundry Systems from a "specialized" software industry where she
spent over 13 years working with finance, management and marketing
teams and her experience is helping her to organize, coordinate and
control the ALS business operations in order to meet the continuing
growth and profit objectives of the company. Cathy has a Bachelor's
Degree from the University of Massachusetts and is involved with
many of the laundry trade organizations such as TRSA. |

Reggie Hawkins
Western Regional Sales Manager |
Reginald "Reggie" Hawkins
comes to us from Norchem Corporation
where he spent 2 1/2 years as their Western Sales Manager promoting
washroom chemicals, chemical injection systems, and wastewater treatment
and recycling systems. Reggie is a graduate of Oregon State University
where he lettered in football (Div 1-A) in the Pacific Ten Conference. |

Erin Karas
Operations Manager |
Erin Karas
has a dual role here at American Laundry Systems. She is both
the Operations Manager and Office Manager. She works alongside and
under the supervision of the Business Manager. She is responsible for all
of the Operations relating to current projects and field staff. She has her
background in project management and contract analysis and has been part
of the ALS team since 2006. |

Meeraj Mehta
Project Engineer |
Meeraj Mehta has more than two years experience in the field of mechanical
engineering. Before joining ALS, he worked as a Mechanical Engineer
/ Estimator for a General Contractor in California with experience in
the field of Water & Wastewater treatment facilities. Meeraj brings project
management and estimating experience to ALS. He finished his B.S
in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Power Engineering
from India. He came to the United States in September 2004 to pursue a
Master's degree. During his schooling, he undertook an engineering internship at GE Energy,
California as Product Development Engineer. He worked as a full time engineer/intern for two
semesters before finishing his Master's in Mechanical Engineering in the summer of 2006. |
